Powerful Defender
Violet has finished her four-part story on Elizabeth Bunyan, the wife of Puritan preacher, and author of The Pilgrim's Progress, John Bunyan. After the story, Violet lists other resources for John Bunyan history. Perhaps she will be prompting some homeschool projects? Illustrate the story? Research the British judiciary or the history of the Puritans? Read The Pilgrim's Progress or the beautifully illustrated children's version, Dangerous Journey? There are so many possibilities....
Fallacy Hunt
I suppose our Fallacy Hunt is over, as the essay we were analyzing is no longer online. We had fun, though, didn't we? Thanks to all who contributed!
Terry Schiavo
I'm going to have more on this later, but for the latest on this story, check out these sites: Hyscience, which is frequently updating his site and releasing information he has gotten from a source close to the case, Pro-Life Blogs, which is keeping an updated list of links from around the blogosphere, and Terrisfight.org where you can find lots of information and links to video clips like this one. As I've indicated before, I'm not in favor of euthansia in any case, but when you look at these video clips, you clearly see the living, reacting human being who is at risk of dying a slow painful death if her husband gets his way. There is one clip in which she is receiving a swab test and grimaces at the taste it leaves in her mouth. If that causes her discomfort, what will it be like for her to slowly die from lack of food and water?
Thank you for getting the Terri links together. I have always supported preserving Terriās life. Before now I had not seen any of the film. After watching, I am floored that there is any debate going on at all.
